set.  Each peice is made from Quina. Quina is found
in Argentina, Paraguay, Southern Brazil, with
related species native to Northern South America.

Quina is a Heartwood color of deep red, sometimes
with purple highlights and high natural luster.
Spicy scent, a source of balsam used in perfumes.
Good in-use stability with an interlocked grain.

Mora, OH Mora!

Found sporadically throughout Latin America from
southern Mexico to Argentina, this wood is very rare.

This beautiful unique grained wood is of dense, fine
textured, bright yellow in color, turning to light reddish
orange with exposure. One vase Stands four inches tall
and one stands three inches tall. Both are two inches in
diameter. These Mora vases are an excellent gift or just
a beautiful coffee table decoration.

Hormigo Negro

In the Granadillo family from Guatemala. Hormigo can range in
color from reddish brown complimented by dark brown/black
streaks (Hormigo Negro) to a satiny reddish-orange, similar to
that of Bloodwood (Hormigo Rojo).While Hormigo Rojo and
Hormigo Negro are somewhat different in appearance, the
trees are identical on the outside and cannot be differentiated
until they are cut down and milled.

Bloodwood Vase

Bloodwood heartwood varies from gray-red to a deep rich red.
Grain varies from straight to variable. It's texture is fine and
smooth. The wood is lustrous and sometimes has variegated
yellow and red stripes. From South America (Venezuela, Peru,
Panama, Brazil) this wood ages to a deep brown color. We use a
finish to extend the aging process to help preserve red color.

This vase stands ten inches tall and is three inches in diameter.
